Volkswagen Tiguan over the years
Launched in 2007, the Tiguan was Volkswagen’s answer to the growing SUV market. The first generation had a long production run, and in 2015, Volkswagen decided to replace it with the second generation.
The second-generation Tiguan offered more options for buyers, including a longer wheelbase option that could seat seven people. For further optionality, Volkswagen offered buyers a variety of engines, including a 2.0L-TDI. If that wasn’t enough to sway motorists, Volkswagen also gave them the option of 2WD and all-wheel-drive and a variety of paint colours to choose from, like Oryx White, Atlantic Blue, Cardinal Red, and Great Falls Green.
Currently, in 2024, we are on the third generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan, and considering it was only launched in 2023, it will be a while until we see the next generation of the Tiguan.
This generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan has been comprehensively updated for modern motorists. Doing away with manual transmission and offering a hybrid power chain as well as giving buyers the option of petrol or diesel engines that are compliant with environmental quotas, the Tiguan is one of the most contemporary SUVs on the market. To go with its modern appeal, Volkswagen has released a range of paint colours for the Tiguan, including Kings Red, Moonstone Grey, Lapiz Blue and Pomelo Yellow.
