Hyundai i10 over the years
Due to its small and compact design, the Hyundai i10, first released in 2007, was initially intended for the Indian market. After seeing success in India, Hyundai made the decision to release the first generation i10 in Europe too.
For the European market, the i10 was available in four versions; Classic, Style, Comfort and Eco Blue. The Eco Blue version came with a 1.0-litre engine. Whatever variant of the i10 buyers chose, Hyundai customers had a choice of paint colours that included Electric Red, Crystal White, Stone Black, Deep Ocean Blue and Champagne Gold.
The second generation Hyundai i10 didn’t hit the roads until 6 years later in 2013. This generation was slightly bigger than the generation before, with a slightly longer chassis and wider wheelbase.
These adjustments to the i10 meant this generation had more interior space and therefore more practical, appealing to a wider range of customers. Technological improvements included a hill-start assist and an optional heated steering wheel and heated front seats. To keep up with these improvements, Hyundai offered buyers a revised colour palette that included paint colours like Morning Blue, Pure White, Sweet Orange, Red Passion, and Star Dust.
Available for 6 years, the second generation of the Hyundai i10 was replaced with the third generation in 2019. The exterior design changed again, this time looking more sporty, as well as coming with light-alloy wheels among other changes.
To go with its new sporty look, the third generation Hyundai i10 was available with either a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine or a standard 1.2-litre engine. Currently, we’re still on the third generation of the i10 and buyers have the option of several paint colours including Dragon Red, Mangrove Green, Atlas White, Lucid Lime and Phantom Black.
