How to use the BMW car paint pen?
First ensure the surface is clean and dry. Shake the pen for 60 seconds and apply thin coats, squeezing the paint into the scratches. Let the paint dry for 10-25 minutes before adding another coat. Allow 24 hours for the pen to cure before polishing.
How to use the BMW car spray paint?
Smooth the surface, clean it thoroughly, and shake the aerosol for 2-3 minutes. Test the colour and spray pattern, then apply paint in smooth, cross-coats from 250mm away. Let it dry for 15 minutes before a second coat and wait 24 hours before applying lacquer. Clean the nozzle after use by spraying it upside-down.
How to use the BMW bottle and brush?
Smooth the surface with sandpaper, then clean and dry it. If needed, apply primer. Shake the touch-up bottle for 2-3 minutes, test the colour in a small area, then apply thin coats to the damaged spot. Let the paint dry for 15 minutes between coats and leave it to cure for 1 hour before adding lacquer or polishing.
How do I repair a scratch on my BMW?
To repair a scratch on your BMW, you will need some polishing compound like PaintNuts Scratch & Scuff Remover and a paint touch-up pen that is colour-matched to your BMW paintwork. Then, simply clean your vehicle, apply the polish with a Microfibre buffing cloth and then rub the compound in a circular motion over the scratch. With minor and faint scratches, this can be enough to make the scratch disappear. However, if the scratch is still present you will need to touch it up as well.
To touch up the scratch, shake the pen and make sure the surface of the bodywork is clean. Now apply the touch-up paint in thin, light layers over the scratch, allowing each layer to dry for 25 minutes before applying another. After the final paint layer, leave it to cure for 24 hours before adding some lacquer or polishing compound to blend it in with the rest of the paintwork. For more information, see our step-by-step guide on using our touch-up pen.
