Vauxhall Zafira over the years

The Vauxhall Zafira was one of the last newcomers of the 20th century. Released in 1999, the Zafira was based on the Vauxhall Astra, but instead offered motorists are more spacious interior that allowed for seven seats. Designed as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the Vauxhall Zafira was versatile in the engine department too with petrol or diesel engines available to be selected. Buyers could also choose different paint colours when buying the Vauxhall Zafira which included Magma Red, Capri Blue and Quartz Blue.

Introduced to the car market in 2005, the second generation of Vauxhall Zafira had retained the features that made the first generation practical and spacious. There was some variance though, especially with the paint colours that were on offer. Vauxhall offered buyers paint colours like Iridium Silver, Barolo Red and Flint Grey when purchasing the Zafira.

The third and final generation of the Vauxhall Zafira hit our roads in 2011. This time, Vauxhall released the Zafira with a more sophisticated design and a high-quality interior. These improvements, along with the option of paint colours like Lunar Blue, Calcite White and Fire Opal that Vauxhall offered weren’t enough, however, to keep from being discontinued in 2018.
