Mini Cooper car paint over the years
Garnering a reputation since the 1960s, it looked like it was the end of an icon when production of the classic Mini ceased in 2000. That was until BMW took over the marque and gave the Mini an entirely new shape, interior and mechanics, whilst still managing to retain the recognisable Mini aesthetics.
When released in 2000, the new model Mini came in a range of paint colours. Of which were some familiar favourites. C3B British Racing Green was available on the Cooper, a nod to the British roots of the now BMW owned Mini Cooper. Two black shades were available - 668 Jet Black and A94 Midnight Black Mini paint colour, as well as a deep, regal and classy Royal Blue. Proving to be a favourite was of course 851 Chili Red. Exciting, bold and rich, Chili Red Mini paint colour enticed motorists with its thrilling appeal.
Come the second generation of Mini Cooper, which rolled off the production line in 2006, and with a wider selection of Mini Cooper paint colours too. Colours like 851 Chili Red and 850 Pepper White remained popular choices with motorists. However there were some unique introductions too. A88 Hot Chocolate Metallic gave the Mini a sophisticated but mysterious bronze look, C2E Caribbean Aqua Metallic added a sense of sun-kissed fun and electric refreshment, and C2K Melting Silver Metallic, bridging the gap between black and white Mini paint colours.
Since 2006, many Mini Cooper paint colours have come, gone and remained. Chili Red still remains, and is as popular as ever, as does British Racing Green. Other Mini Cooper car paint colours that are available in 2023 are Island Blue, Nanuq White and Zesty Yellow to name a few.
